A proud mother of a Marine son, who has served three tours in support of the Global War on Terror: OIF2 and OIF and a tour in the Philippines. Mary Ellen is the Founder of the CA Statewide Collaborative for our Military and Families. The Collaborative is a strong voice advocating for a holistic, compassionate continuum of services, treatments, and care for US military, veterans, families, caregivers, and care providers. Mary Ellen has received her AA from Santa Rosa Junior College where she met her husband Tom, a US Navy (Nuclear Submarines) veteran. Further, she obtained a BS in Applied Behavioral Science from UC Davis, followed by a specialized Certificate in Christian Spirituality from Santa Clara University.

Kalen Arreola, President of Stars and Stripes Marketing & Board Advisor to Honoring Our Fallen

Kalen Arreola is an Army Reserve Public Affairs Officer. She served in Operation Iraqi Freedom V supporting the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) and the 3rd Infantry Division. She has worked with embedded reporters from all major news agencies, including NBC, Fox, NPR, CBN, ABC and CBS. She also developed a successful hometown news campaign that reached out to more than 250 hometown news markets to tell the story of the American Soldier during the surge. She was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in 2008 for her work in Iraq and has been nominated for the 2010 MacArthur Leadership Award. Her leadership during OIF V also resulted in Army Commendation Medals for her entire print journalist team, after their weekly publication earned first place in the Keith L. Ware Journalism Awards for the Best Field Publication in the United States Army 2007.

Staff Sgt. Charles Eggleston, U.S. Army, Retired

SSgt. (ret.) Charles J. Eggleston is a medically retired Purple Heart OIF Veteran from the U.S. Army. He was an active Army soldier and a Warrior in Transition (WIT) at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), where he received treatment for three and a half years. He is a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. SSgt. Eggleston served under the 11th Special Forces Unit and the 818th Combat Support Brigade out of Fort Meade, Maryland, and while in combat in Iraq, he served under the 107th Army Calvary Regiment, the 3rd Special Forces Unit, the 25th Infantry Division, and the 17th Airborne Division.

Charles is President and CEO of Three Seven Consulting, Inc., a CVE certified service disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) and Maryland State Commander for the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He serves as an advisor to Tee It Up For the Troops, a delegate for the Maryland Joint Veterans Committee, and also as a board member of In Honor of Our Troops and the Salute Military Golf Association.
