How It Works

How For Nonprofits - Traditionally, nonprofit organizations have worked independently to meet the needs of military and Veteran families. As a result of the post 9/11conflicts and the needs of thousands of military and Veteran families, several organizations began exploring better ways to coordinate emergency financial aid services. These Partner Agencies reflect the strong commitment to more effectively meet needs by working together.

For Donors - Partner organizations of YRRN count on donors in order to sustain the valuable services they provide to Heroes and their families. From a single location, you not only have the opportunity to demonstrate your appreciation each organization, but support a specific Hero with your donation. No matter who you choose or how much you donate, your gift will be used to change the lives. Each Hero posted has been vetted and is a real case of assistance, so donors give in complete confidence.

How we're funded - For every dollar you donate to a specific need on the YRRN, 100% of that donation goes directly to funding that need. Additionally, the YRRN does not currently charge our Partner Organizations to administer the requests from Heroes. The YRRN is primarily funded through the support of donors by making additional small donations to the YRRN itself for operation and administration. We also raise funds through corporate sponsors, foundations and grants related to our mission in Helping Heroes Afford Life!
